How to add or edit comment questions

Updated over 4 months ago

Comment questions are survey items which allow respondents to enter free text responses and express their views. You can choose to add comment questions from People Insight’s client library or create your own.

Add a comment question from the client library

People Insight’s client library includes comment questions you can add to your survey.

First, select the reporting section you’d like the question to sit under.

Then select ‘Add New’, and choose ‘Comment Question’ from the list.

It will default to the client library questions. You can filter by category, or enter search text to find a suitable question. When you have decided upon a question, select the check box and click 'add and close'

Then click ‘Add and close’, and ‘Save changes’.

Creating new comment questions

If you cannot find suitable comment question in the client library, Use the same 'add new' button and select 'comment questions' again.

This time, select the 'create new' link on the left. You can now use the 'question text' field to add your new question. Assign a category for the new question to sit within the library and decide whether it is mandatory

Once all the fields are populated, you can select 'add and close' and the question will be added to your theme. It will now be stored in a library associated with your organisation, along with any other questions you have created
