If you want to compare your survey results with previous data, you need to map the variables and the answer options.
Here are the steps to do that:
Go to the Survey Structure tab and scroll down to the bottom.
Choose a survey from the "Survey used for historic comparisons" dropdown menu

Click on "Auto-map". This will automatically match the variables and the answer options by name.
If there are any variables that are not mapped, you can assign them
For each variable, select the response options that you want to use for comparison.
